Text messages from Cashews

This page describes how Cashews collects consent for text messages, what those messages contain, and how to stop them. Cashews is operated by Cashews Finance, LLC.

How we collect consent

People provide their mobile phone number when they create a Cashews account, either in the Cashews app for iOS and Android or at app.cashews.finance. The number is verified with a one-time passcode sent to that number, so the person entering it is the person who holds it. By creating an account, they agree to receive account-related text messages from Cashews at +1 (660) 227-4397.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase. There is no separate list, no purchased numbers, and no third-party lead source. A number reaches us only when its owner types it into the signup screen and passes the one-time passcode check.

This line appears directly beneath the phone number field everywhere Cashews collects a phone number: in the Cashews app for iOS and Android, and on the web at app.cashews.finance. It sits above the button that continues to the one-time passcode step, so nobody reaches the passcode step without passing it.

What we send and how often

Messages are account-related: one-time passcodes for signing in, alerts about a bank connection that needs attention, notices about your subscription, and replies from a person at Cashews when you write to us. Message frequency varies, and is typically no more than a few messages per month.

Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Stopping or getting help

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving text messages from Cashews. You will get one confirmation message, and then nothing further. Reply START to resume.

Reply HELP to any message for help, or write to [email protected].

Your number stays with us

We do not share or sell your mobile phone number, or your consent to receive text messages, with any third party or affiliate for their marketing purposes.
